A warm Oastler Lake welcome goes out to the Stewarts on Bartlett Drive and Mike and Bev Preuss, Oastler Park Drive. We hope they will join us at our annual meeting in 2006.
Our newest addition of course is beautiful baby boy Teigan born in August to Heidi and Dave. Congratulations!
The poor condition of Bartlett Drive was the main topic of discussion at the resident's association meeting in July. Maintenance of the road is an ongoing concern, and a delegation subsequently met with the council to discuss. Despite the urging from residents, Bartlett Drive did not get paved. However, the road was resurfaced with tar and chip at the end of July.
Bartlett Drive residents got together one weekend in August to cleanup Bartlett Park. Some trees had fallen across the road into the driveway to the park. The group enjoyed a few hours of cleaning up the trees. However, there is still more cleanup which can be done. Hopefully a similar day can be arranged next year for this enjoyable and important community activity.
